What is Art Miami?
Art Miami is one of the numerous art fairs that occur yearly at the start of December. Along with Art Basel, SCOPE, CONTEXT, Acqua, and other events, Art Miami helps to bring the city of Miami alive.
As art fairs go, it is considered one of the most important in the US along with Basel and the LA Art Show. This year, visitors can expect to see art from 130 international galleries.
Where is Art Miami
Since 2013, Art Miami is held at One Miami Herald Plaza on Biscayne Bay with easy access to all that Miami Beach has to offer, including the Pérez Art Museum only a few minutes away.
How Does it Differ from the Other Art Events?
Art Miami differs in that it offers an unparalleled level of accessibility to high-end activities and collectors on Miami Beach at that time. Furthermore, its sister fair CONTEXT provides a similar experience with emerging and mid-career artists.
How Were Past Years?
In past years, there have been more than 170 international galleries from nearly 22 countries and thousands of works from over 900 artists.
Blue-chip pieces can be found by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Andy Warhol, and Salvador Dali just to name a few.
How Do I Get In?
General admission tickets typically cost about $55 for Art Miami and CONTEXT. Multi-day passes are also available. All tickets go on sale 60 days prior to opening. To stay on top of the tickets, you can check out the practical information page on the Art Miami site, and look for Artmatcher around the event.
