About the Harris Gallery

The Harris Gallery was founded about two decades ago by M.C. Harris, and his son A3L3XZAND3R Harris.

M.C. is known for his elegant colorist landscapes, fanciful abstract celebrations of nature, and cubist floral works. A3L3XZAND3R is known for his mystical cloud formations and familiar dreamlike landscapes.

At the gallery, you will find artwork from both artists and some delicious wine with custom labels that feature their art.

The Wine

The Harris Gallery is located in the California wine country, and as such, they have partnered with some amazing local winemakers to offer a special collection featuring their art. Each barrel features custom artwork making for a tasty and collectible purchase. If you are interested in the wine, stop into the gallery tasting lounge or pick it up via their wine club.

More About M.C. Harris

Marc Cabell Harris was born in New York City to a jazz impresario and surrealist painter. After graduating from the California College of the Arts (CCA) in 1972, he went on to have his first public exhibition in San Francisco. The show featured his etchings and the lithographs of M.C. Escher. Pretty good start, right?

He then founded the Marco Polo Companies, producing textile designs for the apparel and home furnishing industries.

In 2000 M.C. pivoted again and started to focus on painting. Since then, he has become known for his playful and exuberant style, rendering classical subjects in a modernist form.

His work can be found in numerous private, public and corporate collections throughout the world.

About A3L3XZAND3R Harris

A3L3XZAND3R was born in California but left to pursue art in the academy. He first did stints at Chico, California (CSU), the Florence Academy of Art, and the Repin Academy/Russian Academy in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Upon his return, he took up painting and expanded into other mediums such as painting, drawing, and sculpture. His works range from imaginative depictions of the infinite variety of mind’s eye landscapes to classical, contemporary, abstract figural, portrait, and still-life themes.

Like his father, the work is undoubtedly contemporary, though with an eye towards classicalism. His work is also included in numerous notable collections throughout the world.
