About ARTECHOUSE Miami

ARTECHOUSE is the first permanent digital art center in Miami dedicated to elevating interdisciplinary collaboration between artists and technologists. ARTECHOUSE Miami grows out of the success of ARTECHOUSE Washington DC, the nation’s first innovative art destination devoted to the intersection of art, science, and technology.

ARTECHOUSE Miami is a combination of what ARTECHOUSE DC has done so successfully with its Project Lab and Pop Up shows, combined with an incredible new space that includes cutting-edge technology for virtual reality (VR) content creation to experiential installations using projection mapping.

This center features a wide array of programming, including arts education for children and adults, lectures on contemporary art, artist talks with internationally renowned artists, exhibitions showcasing regional talent as well as international names in the field of art and design, creative workshops with professional artists to help nurture your inner creativity or hone existing skills.

History of ARTECHOUSE

Artechouse was founded in 2015 by Sandro Kereselidze and Tatiana Pastukhova. It opened in Washington, D.C., just off the National Mall and nearby Smithsonian museums.

Since then, ARTECHOUSE has opened the Miami Beach location and, most recently, New York City.

What’s On in Miami

Currently, there is a multi-sensory immersive show on display in Miami. Titled AṢẸ: AFRO FREQUENCIES the exhibit was inspired by the idea of aṣẹ, the West African concept relating to our power to produce change.

The show celebrates the historical, social, and cultural aspects of the Black experience through the perspective of artists Vince Fraser and Ursula Rucker.

ARTECHOUSE Miami is located at 736 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139. It is near the Miami Beach Convention Center, which makes it a perfect stop for anyone in town for Miami Art Week, especially those at Art Basel given its proximity.
