A cartoon is a two-dimensional visual art form that is usually humorous or satirical. It can also refer to its original meaning which is a full-scale preliminary drawing for a large work, such as a fresco, mosaic, mural, or tapestry.
Cartoons are often used to make political and social commentary, or to simply entertain. They can be found in newspapers, magazines, books, comics, television, film, and the Internet.
