As we previously posted about – Artmatcher is going to SXSW! That’s right, we have been accepted into the SXSW pitch competition. Given that, we thought we would share a little more about the competition for those of you who are new to it.
About the SXSW Pitch Competition
South by Southwest (SXSW) is a music, film, and interactive conference and festival held every year in Austin, Texas. SXSW Interactive is a subsection of the festival that focuses on new media, technology, and entrepreneurship. Every year, SXSW holds a Pitch Competition for startups and entrepreneurs.
The SXSW Pitch Competition is open to any company with a product or service that has launched within the past two years. Ten companies are chosen to pitch on stage in front of a panel of judges, and the winner is decided based on a combination of audience vote and judge’s score.
The 2022 Pitch Competition
The 14th annual SXSW Pitch will take place on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13. It will feature 45 Interactive technology companies from 9 different categories. 25 companies will be featured on March 12th, and 20 companies will be featured on March 13th. The winner from each category will be featured at the Pitch Award Ceremony on Sunday, March 13 at 6 pm CT.
