The Accademia Gallery is one of the most popular art museums in Florence. It is home to some of the world’s most famous paintings, including Michelangelo’s David. The gallery is located in a former convent and was founded in 1784. It houses a collection of over 4,000 paintings, sculptures, and other works of art.
