The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is one of the premier performing arts venues in South Florida, playing host to various shows and performances year-round. Located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s cultural district, the Broward Center is easily accessible by car or public transportation.
The Broward Center features two main performance spaces: Au-Rene Theater and Amaturo Theater. The Au-Rene Theater is Broward Center’s largest theater and often hosts the biggest shows, from Broadway musicals to classical orchestras. Amaturo Theater is a smaller space that hosts off-Broadway shows and more intimate performances.
Aside from its two main theaters, the Broward Center also features additional event spaces such as Amaturo’s Terrace, Peacock Foundation Studio, and Abdo New River Room. The Center also offers guided tours of its spaces so visitors can get an in-depth look at all it offers.
